The Orecchiette Dog

€178,00

If you've visited Bari, Puglia in the south of Italy, you may have strolled along Strada delle Orecchiette where women sit outside their houses all day making the celebrated orecchiette, a pasta typical of the region.  They work fast, using the pressure of their thumbs, as they deftly create the pasta in the shape of 'little ears' which is what orechhiette means in Italian.

Each time I'm in Bari I visit this little street and always chat to this friendly lady and on my last visit had the lovely surprise of meeting her new puppy.  He has to be tied up else he'd disappear into the throng of visitors.
